Congratulations to Lynda Gilmore (see article below). Lynda -- while we are extremely impressed that you were chosen as Teacher of the Year, in reading your other accomplishments we can't help but notice that your most prestigious achievement was somehow omitted, that being Queen of our Carnival Association. Hopefully your most recent honor will not require that you wear a crown and carry a scepter, and have subjects genuflect when you enter their presence.

Lynda Gilmore named Teacher of the Year
Bay High School Principal Marca Alexander has announced Lynda Caldwell Gilmore has been chosen as Bay High's Teacher of the Year.
Gilmore has been employed by the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District since 1988. She is a math instructor and Student Council adviser.
She served as math department chairwoman from 1995 to 2006. She also has served as a representative to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, has been responsible for curriculum development and has been a mentor for new teachers.
Her professional affiliations include: Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Mississippi Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Who's Who Among America's Teachers and the Governor's Teacher Advisory Council. She recently received the Woman of Distinction Award from Delta Kappa Gamma for 2006-07.
